Ensemble Caprice is delighted to once again be a part of Arte Musica Foundation’s epic undertaking of presenting the complete cycle of Bach cantatas. This programme will feature the cantatas BWV 25, 46, 23, and 127. The Cantor of Leipzig was a master at painting orchestral colours, and this performance will provide an incomparable instrumental bouquet: recorders, trombones, trumpet, slide horn, oboe, oboe d’amore and strings all make for a sumptuous musical feast!

The renowned German baritone Michael Volle will make a stop in Montreal, between two performances at the Met in New York, to perform with Ensemble Caprice. The celebrated singer was immediately attracted by this “Casanova event,” an original programme concept devised by Matthias Maute. The performance will feature works by Mozart, Vivaldi and Gluck. An evening not to be missed!

Individual ticket for the Casanova concert will go on sale on September 1st 2016.
