Ensemble Caprice and its conductor Matthias Maute are continuing their cycle of the complete Beethoven symphonies played on period instruments – a first for Montreal audiences. The concert will take place next Sunday, June 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in McGill University’s Pollack Hall. In collaboration with the Montreal Baroque Festival, Ensemble Caprice will perform the 6th symphony, The Pastoral Symphony, as well as Beethoven’s fourth piano concerto with soloist Tom Beghin on the pianoforte. Pollack Hall is located at 555 Sherbrooke St. West.
This concert will close the Festival Montreal Baroque. The Festival was created by its co-artistic directors, Matthias Maute and Susie Napper. This year’s edition of the Festival includes concerts, master classes and lectures.
